Remedial Education

‘Holistic development in reading, spelling, writing,
Math and cognitive skill'

Learning Disabilities are neurologically based conditions that affect how individuals process information, impacting skills such as reading, writing, mathematics and non-verbal reasoning, despite average or above-average intelligence. These challenges often persist even with appropriate classroom instruction and, without timely support, can significantly affect academic performance. Individualized remedial education plays a critical role in addressing these learning needs.

Remedial education involves structured, targeted instruction tailored to support students who experience academic difficulties in specific skill areas. This approach focuses on identifying learning gaps and implementing evidence-based teaching strategies to strengthen foundational skills and improve academic outcomes.

At YASHA Academy, we work closely with students to maximise their individual potential and help them achieve their learning objectives through personalized, one-on-one remedial support. Each student’s current performance level is carefully evaluated and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are developed with clearly defined goals. Appropriate instructional strategies are then implemented on a 1:1 basis to support skill acquisition and progress. Through our systematic, qualitative and progressive remedial approach, we partner with schools and families to empower learners with the academic skills, independence and emotional readiness required for sustained long-term success.
